    Thanks for the note. I will keep you in my thoughts as you take a new road. If I have not learned one thing it is this - nothing is for certain in life. Alternative certification is a good way to go. Not sure how it works in NY, but in Texas it is a good alternative for many. Keep in touch. Lately I have been reading so many YA books and Bluebonnet awards that I am not sure I can read an adult level book. LOL.

    Don't give up. I just got my undergrad degree in 2002 at the age of 52. I just got 2 Masters degrees this past May after being in the hospital for most of 2008. If I can do anything to encourage you to follow your dream - just do it. Even if there are set backs for long periods of time. I have college hours from 1969. Some semesters I did drop out, but I just never felt like I was complete until I graduated. I just kept plugging even if I had to do something else for awhile.
