Hi, Jen.. I am reading a children's book SAHARA SPECIAL by Esme raja Codell. Ever heard of it or her? I bought it at the church tag sale because of the author. I have read her personal memoir of her first year as a teacher and I loved it. t's called EDUCATING ESME. Now I believe she is a librarian and author. I am liking this story a lot. Tell me what you think.
Hi Jen. My name's Elizabeth E and I'm Peggy Eiss' sister. I was talking to her today and ask if she read Double Bind (because I needed to talk to someone about it) and she said I should send you a note. If you get time, let's discuss it. Did you like it? Where you as confused as I? Hope to hear from you!
No, I have not read one of his since Before You Know Kindness. Was it the Double Blind you are speaking of? I do intend to read that so one of these days we can compare. At least the weather SHOULD be nine for all your traveling. Enjoy and let me know if you read something good!
Hello again, Jen...good to see you have a moment to read again after the Godspell run. I see you added a few of Chris Bojhalian's books. I think I liked Before You Know Kindness the most of all of his I have read. I will be interested to hear what you think. I love reading more than ever now that I do not work full time!
Hello, I just saw your photo with the boys. It is really neat and one of these days I will figure that aspect out for mself. I have not read WATER FOR ELEPHANTS yet but it will now be in my queue as both you and my shelfari friend and daughter recommend. I am now in North Carolina at the ocean for a few days and my luggage did not travel with me. I finished PILLAR OF THE EARTH and am reading one Megan had(see shelf) which is surprisingly good. I did not know the author at all. Thank you for sharing with me. I do so love talking books. PS I did not know you were a part time librarian. Wow, what a great job.
I don't read too much juvenile fiction anymore but some of those on your list were around when my girls were kids. Have you read THE BOOK THIEF? I believe that is considered juvenile fiction though for middle schoolers. It is a really good book in my view for kids and adults.
