Dude! Your "plans to read" list is awesome. I've just added tons of titles to my list by plucking them from yours. You're my favorite librarian! :)

You really should add Olivia: The Essential Latin Edition. It is excellent.

I've officially added 'Outlander' to my shelf (though I better put it off for a little while). Btw, I just posted a response on the U-High Faculty group page to 'Graceling.' I was stupid to comment last night, having not finished the book. I loved the ending. Is 'Fire' as good as 'Graceling'?

Supposedly, this is a lead HarperTeen release for the fall. I believe she will be in
Chicago on tour after the release.

Anita, While preparing for a visit from the Easter Bunny, we discovered that we have 220 plastic eggs that we have collected over time that are going unused. We would be willing to donate them to the Key Club project if you can use them. Gretchen

Amy, you need to read "Love Medicine." It's another very special book. By the way, I enjoyed "Hunger Games" and plan on reading the next in the series. I found the romance in it annoying, but I have to remind myself that this is for young adults, and they look for that. Believe it or not, I have picked up the Poisonwood Bible again. It was so long ago that I read it that I need to read it again. I just finished Edgar Sawtelle too and really liked it. It's "Hamlet" in disguise, but unlike other books that use that plot.this one doesn't copy from Shakespeare; it has it's own strength. I have read "The Awakening," but need to reread it since you all are talking about it. Add the short story "The Yellow Wallpaper" and the play "A Doll's House" by H. Ibsen to go with it. They compliment one another. Both are powerful and shocking looks at women's plight in Victorian times.

Hello, hope you are enjoying break. Just wanted to say i enjoyed the Sarah Dessen book, Keeping the Moon. I really liked her crazy aunt. I also enjoyed Colie's "learning how to have a chick night" episode. It was very entertaining. I will definitely read more, as I have time, of course. I'm well into "The Awakening" now. Hey, when you get a chance, could you give me your vegetarian sloppy joes recipe? I think we want to give it a shot. Thanks!

Oh, and since I'm imagining I'm going to have all kinds of reading time over break, what is a good Sara Dessen book and Jane Austen book to start with? I promised a student I would read Dessen, if she would read "Graceling." But Dessen has tons of stuff! As for Austen? I have to finish "The Awakening" first, but I should get through it pretty quickly. Should I just go for "Pride and Prejudice" or should I save that one? Talk to you later.

I finished "Graceling" last night. I loved it! We're going to have to talk about the ending, because I had no problems with how it ended. In fact, I loved a few parts of the end very, very much. We'll have to talk though, I realize I'm in danger of spoiling a plot on a social networking site about books! That would have to be the ultimate sin!
