I read some persian books, mostly poetry. While working on my thesis, I cannot concentrate on serious books and reading bulky books makes me nervous so I just read some easy page turners. I finished "the lost symbol" some days ago. it was such a stupid book. I picked up "The face of another" by kobo abe some months ago. It's such an amazing book but I had to put it aside after reading 50 pages or so. try it if you can. and I have another suggestion for you if you like modern persian poetry: my husband's poetry book is published:) you can see it on my shelf. or better visit his blog : http://teekany.blogfa.com
Kamal hai Pakistan mai hain aur humain khabar hi nahi!!! Lahore kab aarahay hain?
Meray mizaaj taqreeban drust hain. Ajkal bus garmi aur barsaat ki aankh-macholi ka lutf utha rahay hain. Karachi ka mausam kaisa hai? Lahore aaiyay ga to zaroor ittlaa kijiyay ga.
I'm really sorry for my sudden disappearance. Effects of load shedding!!! summer hasn't yet started properly and we are facing electricity crisis :(
Well the good thing is I'm having your review of Perfume, which also make me interested in that novel, though I've watched the movie but I think novel must be a great thing. Your review also made me to read Suskind's Mr. Summer's Story, which was also a great novella.
And now I'm waiting for the review of Camus's The stranger. You must be reading it in French, which is great, though translations works but original is original.
How's everything going on in life? Write me soon!
Salam Reza jan!
How's everything going on buddy? I got your message, thank you. My exams have just ended, so bit free nowadays. I've finished Happy Death by Camus, it is a small book but different and a bit strange :) There are two novels in my hand nowadays, Brothers Karamazov by Dostoevsky and Hunchback of Notr-Dame by Hugo. I found it very difficult to start Hunchback, difficult structure to understand!!! but I'm getting use to with it. So have you read these books?? And what're you reading nowadays?
Hope everything is fine at your end, hey! when're you getting summer vocations? I'm waiting for you in Lahore.
