Elizabeth, I totally agree with your review on Sparks "Nights in Rodanthe" - first time I've read a book in one sitting too - a little short as there really wasn't much plot. I wonder if the movie is lame too?I see you have read Outlander and put it in your favorites - me too.PS is that really a picture of your cat?
I loved Year of Wonders by Geraldine Brooks. I put off reading it for a long time. I thought it would be too graphic. Not at all. I caught the fear and the ugliness of the plague, but it wasn't because Geraldine wrote in gorey details. She wrote it in such a way that i didn't get sick. I thoroughly recommend it.grapes
Thanx. My boys were familiar with that photo & couldn't believe I hadn't seen it already. I called them into my room while I was cracking up. They often show me funny pics on www.icanhascheezburger.com. I am putting Cholera on my TRB list along with so many others. When I get to it, I will report back. Take care, Nancy
Thanx for your response about "Cholera." But mostly thanx for the laugh with your classic photo! I used to have silver shaded persians, & I couldn't stop laughing! Looks just like my cat Boogie (RIP). Thanx again!
It's definitely goin' on my plan to read shelf. Looks good! Do you have the original copy? I'll be in Dallas/Plano this weekend....
