I really loved the Doomsday Key, you're in for a treat. One of his best, I think.I'm eagerly awaiting the release of Gatekeeper too! Also hard at work on book 4 at the moment, tentatively called "Racing the Devil."
your shelf gave some several new authors to try...I may have missed it on your shelf but do you The Codex by Douglas Preston on there? You have several thriller type authors I have missed entirely and hope I can find at he library!
Definitely will-I'm still immersed in research books, but hope to come up for air at the beginning of July. A preston/child, rollins, sandford, and child book to look forward to-whew. There goes my summer.
Ooh, that is exciting- I read wheel when it came out so I don't remember it very well...but I'll have to get my hands on a copy of cemetary dance. Just read Out of Captivity, a memoir by three guys who were prisoners of FARC in Colombia for 5 years. Amazing story.
Ooh, that was a good one. Just wait until you get to the last one in the Grant County series...
Okay, you're going to have to remind me- which one was that? Was that the last one in her Grant County series? Cause that one was a shocker at the end...
Thank you for adding my book to your shelf! Hope you enjoy reading it! =)
I think they're great books, a really interesting portrayal of life in modern day Russia. So I'd recommend giving the first one a try to see if you like it.
That was a disturbing one- great, but disturbing.Try Brent Ghelfi if you get a chance, "Volk's Game" is great (but also on the darker side).
Awesome! I know, when I first discovered the Preston/Child books I tore through them. Lots of late nights.Just finished a few good ones, one is Josh Hazell's "Beat the Reaper" (which officially comes out in Jan) and "The Follower" by Jason Starr. Both worth picking up.
Hi Bryan, thanks for lending me Blindsighted. I really enjoyed it! I was wondering if you had any of her other books. If so, I'd love to borrow them.
I know, the Indy movie really let me down, it was as bad as when Lukas came out with the travesty that was the "first" Star Wars film. When I saw Jar Jar Binks I almost walked out. Awful. And so disappointing since I think the originals still hold their own (with the Indy series too).
No problem- and yes, true to her name, Slaughter is GRUESOME. But so very, very good. Love the whole Grant County series. Not to overburden you, but just read In The Woods by Tana French and loved that too.
Thanks, Bryan! I'm so happy to hear it! Always encouraging, especially as I wade through the current mess of the next installment...
Yay! Great!
Awesome, Bryan! Hope you enjoy it!
I actually started with Indelible, technically the 4th but it provides a lot of back story for the main characters. So either that one or Blindsighted.Let me know what you think, I'm such a Slaughter fan!
Awesome, Bryan! hope you enjoy Boneyard!
I agree, enjoyed still life while I was reading it but didn't feel it held up to the rest. Cabinet is still my favorite, although relic is a close second...
Hi Bryan-I liked Still Life with Crows, but in retrospect it probably wasn't my favorite Pendergast novel. Curious to hear what you think...I just finished reading Slaughter's Beyond Reach, and there was a twist at the end that I'm just dying to discuss with someone. I think I'll post it in a group...
