hi,
well for "like the flowing river", it is a very great book but not a novel. You see, it is like an album for all his most adoring artickles and personal stories joined in one book. So recommened it for breaktimes or when you are so bored reading one long novel for it vary in the type of stories in tell.
About "the pilgramige" well, i didn't finish it yet :P so i can tell you the truth

i was going with The Alchemist, but you already read it :P so i would like to recomend The Devil And Miss Prym.. a very wonderful novel about good and evil, and how everyone is responsible for his/her action, and how the devil "and all the evil things" are only a tool to mistake not the cause to it..
hope you enjoy reading it..
