Im Sarah. I am glad to say that my 'olive tree' are my books. I not only read them...I collect them like a maniac and have a lot of old books from the 40s, 50s and 60s (mostly stolen from my parents book shelf)! Classic literature is my favorite but I am also interested in modern. I find it imperative to read; expanding my horizons and... more »

Looks like you are the only one of my friends that stays active on Shelfari! I'm really liking "Water for Elephants"

Sarah: I just finished Three Cups of Tea -- it's hard to get into, but if you make it to halfway through the book, it just becomes an incredible journey and when you finish, it truly is just one of the best stories ever. Hope to see you late Aug in S. R.

Hey, Sarah: Great seeing you, too! I started Three Cups, but then switched to "Big Russ and Me," Tim Russert's triibute to his father. I'm really enjoying it tremendously and am almost finished. Then, I will restart Three Cups - I'll let you know how it goes. It's uncharateristically HOT up here now -- it was in the mid 80's yesterday which means everyone is at the lake. Unfortunately, I got food poinsoning right after getting back and had 24 hours of hell - BUT everything is definitely out of my system now and I'm slowly hydrating myself, so....my new best friend is/are "ice chips" - LOL. Howw's your tennis coming along? Right now you should probably stay indoors - they say the air quality in your area is really dangerous! Keep me posted on 3 cups and your other doings. Love, Linds

Hey, Sarah! Andrea just sent me Three Cups of Tea! I hope to get to it soon...for some reason I just can't find time to read anything right now. I'm hoping this book will get me back in the mood. How is life?

    Hi Sarah!
Just a quick note. I'm just starting "Death of a Salesman" finally. I think I read this a gillion years ago, but now I want to read it anew. Also ordered the film from Netflix. Want to watch it together?

Sarah: Got the painting today -- it's wonderful! Thanks so much. Dale is still in NYC, I think, but I'll get together with her as soon as she returns to town. I'm a couple of hundred pages into Follet's latest book and don't want to put it down. Did you ever read "Pillars of the Earth"? Not sure it would be "your thing," but I sure loved it. Later....

Hey not only are they cute, but they tell you about life!! Like the journey the little prince takes to each planet reveals to him different perspectives and sometimes the selfishness of people. And the tao of pooh is super cool- it's like my bible for how to live life! heh
