God, I'm bushed!...No, strike that - I'm Obama-ed! Which is infinitely better!

I collect Depression Glass, Cobalt Blue in particular - I've got over 300 pieces. No earthquakes, please!

My first book was "Little Bear" from the New York Public Library, Washington Heights Branch. I dropped it into the toilet, (before!)... more »

I, who was disproportionately proud of myself for having read "Villette" sans dictionary all those years after school French, come to you now with news of a crazed project: this January, when we're all reading Wolf Hall, I'll also be reading Balzac in the original. I'm glad you're back, because there is no question that I'll be spouting panic and invective, and you are kinder than kind about spouting.

Terrible, indeed! This particular one was taken during the service Tinky arranged to ensur your safe return.
And some habits are so hard to shake off!

(But, I might be given my marching orders post-Christmas since Father Rigere has accused me of causing some Monklings unholy thoughts.)

My dear Victoria.. may I still call you Vicky?
I was going through my Christmas Card list and low and behold there you were. After my rather inglorious departure from AA I have missed you all so much. I have kept myself to one Shelfari group [the Alex' Forum as joint Admin] as my darn eyes tend to be a bit of a challenge. Better, but still a b.... pest.
I suppose some of you will be heading for Lord Manleigh's over the festive season. Do give everyone my very best.
I expect Langley is decked with bows of holly etc. and well stocked for the season.
I have loaded my cellar with some new beverages, and my lady wife has been busy knitting me something black and fluffy...so Christmas will be both festive and experimental.
Do have a wonderful one. Harpsy.

    Hello?! Anyone home?

I've missed you, love. I suspect, if the play's still indeed the thing, that you've been too busy to visit this crazy place much. I admit to feeling a little overwhelmed by all that's gone on in our absence. Hope to see you back here soon!

This is what happens when one starts hanging out with Irish Leprechauns - they spirit one away and one loses all track of time, leaving one's friends to wonder what's become of you! ; D
