I am now reading a book called "The Mind at Night" and on a section about the effects of sleep deprivation it mentions "Fatal Familial Insomnia" (FFI) - when I read about it, I recalled that there was a book you had reviewed about the family that couldn't sleep and I found that FFI is a form of Prions Disease. Now I want to read that book too, because I'm finding sleep disorders very fascinating!
I finished When Elephants Weep - it was so touching. Then right after I finished it I saw a story on Yahoo News about a dolphin that helped save a beached whale. Pret-ty amazing!
I finished Lying Awake and I really enjoyed it. The author is quite talented - I'm looking forward to exploring what else he has out there. Thanks for recommending the book!
ooh, did you read My Antonia too? I didn't put it on my shelf because I couldn't remember whether I'd finished it or not. What a drag. We were supposed to read it in "Honors English" but Clarence Fortner (remember Clarence?) was the only one who liked. He just thought it was the best book ever. Strange egg. BTW, I got Wuthering Heights from the library. You and Meghan both loved it, so I figured it was a good choice. So far I've read two chapters. I had no idea it would be so humorous!
I'm going to the library tomorrow, so I got a lot of good ideas from your shelf! (Did you really love The Great Gatsby? In high school remember thinking it was kinda blah - I'll have to go back and read it again though, now that I'm "mature"!)
