Well, the Hunger Games series is really good and if you go to Amazon I am sure you could find my dad's books. I love to read fantasy like the Fablehaven books and mystery because they keep me involved. Ally Condie, another LDS author, has some books out with Desert Book and they are really good.
I have read all of Jason's books because he is my dad. I have read Candy Shop Wars and all the Fablehaven books.
yeah, me as well. Have you met Brandon? Have you read any of Jason F. Wright's books?
ah. Have you read the Hunger Games series?
yeah, I know. I love finding other people who have the same standards as me. Are you on a mission or have you served one yet?
Because I am too.
hey heidi! have you ever read 'shakespeare's secret'. it's great! take care :)
Hi Heidi ~ Sorry I forgot I hadn't written you back yet. ;-) I really like the "B.of M. Made Easier." It's nice because you don't have to read it back and forth with your scriptures like other companion books. You know, where you read a chapter and then read the notes on it. Instead this series has all the scriptures (in their entirety) already included in the books. So, it will give you the first verse then the notes on that verse, then the 2nd verse and the notes on that one, etc. Sometimes the notes are a short paragraph or two, sometimes they are a couple of pages. Some notes are the author's opinions (he's a professor at BYU) and others are quotes from General Authorities, verses from poems or hymns, or historical notes and definitions of the Hebrew language and unfamiliar words. One of my favorites was a passage from Columbus' journal and how he knew that God had directed his paths. I think it takes 3 or 4 books to cover the entire Book of Mormon, but when you're done, there are companion books for the Pearl of Great Price, and the Old and New Testament. Reading them is kind of like having your own Seminary/Institute/Sunday School class at home. :-) The other nice thing is that the books are really easy to find since Wal-Mart carries the entire set! :-)Lori :-)
:) HEY!
Hi Hiedi,Are you reading Sense and Sensibility for the first time or rereading? I've decided to spend the spring rereading all of Austen's books starting with Emma
I haven't seen the Spiderwick movie yet. It is going to be stormy here this weekend...so not this weekend!
I see that Ordinary Princess is one of your favorites.... I just added it to my shelf; I loved it to, but it has been a long time since I read it!
hey!!! i see you've rated jeremy thatcher, dragon hatcher. i love that book so much! i'm all grown up but the 2nd time i read it (about three years ago), this book helped me through the pain of my bf leaving the country for college which is great- cause loss is sadly something that kids might have to face even though we wish we could shield them from it. i dunno if you felt like this. have you read the space brat series? or the chronicles of narnia? or if you want a peek into the caribbean (where i'm from) experience you might try zee edgell's "beka lamb" or merle hodge's "crick crack monkey" or jamaica kinkaid's "annie john". they all deal with the trials of growing up in the west indies from the pov of young girls. if you do try them, let me know how you liked them. take care for now!
:) what's new?
Heidi's taste in books is amazing. When I actually trust her judgement and give her suggestions a try, I ultimately enjoy the experience. (she's also a smokin' hottieāno picture does her justice)
