I'm new to Shelfari or any kind of online community. But I love books - read all the time, and a friend told me about this site, so... here I am. I teach elementary school art and have two kids of my own. Growing up we lived in lots of different countries so we read for entertainment or quiet time. My sister and I read the same books as my parents by the time we were 11 so we all discussed each book when it had made the rounds. I'm in two book clubs now, and really enjoy talking about books with other readers. I like all genres but prefer prose to poetry. I read Harper's and New Yorker but no other magazines. I love audio books and generally have about 4 books going at a time. I just finished The Book Thief, which I loved. « less
