It's slow for me, too. I'm on pg 400 or so now. Trying to hurry and finish in time for Book Tag's newest game this weekend. I asked because I thought the narrator's language and tone were a little too modern. It makes everything easy to understand but their discussions and thoughts don't seem authentic. But, hey, who needs stuffy words anyway? Now I just need to get through the challenge. Thanks for the friendship....
What do you think of "Crossed"? Does this relate to any of your beliefs and does it fullfill your expectations of historical fiction? How far into it are you?
I haven't read Tom Robbins, but he does have some of the sense of absurd that Christopher Moore possesses.
