As Salaam Alaykum Jenna, mashaallah, you have added some wonderful books. The women companions of the Prophet(salalahu alayhe was salaam) Don't be Sad, and the Face b ehind the Veil. I have all of them, and will not part with them. They are all very inspiring. The women companions of the Prophet (salalahu alayhe was salaam) were mighty women, mashaallah. They were determined, strong in spirit, devout, humble mashaallah. When you read about them, you realize that we, as women in the deen have a lot to live up to.
May Allah bless you my Sister.

Well, I thought that the private message would not show up on your front page, otherwise I wouldn't have been so open, but I can see it on your front page and so I figure others can too. I just don't want to offend anyone or anything like that. Sorry if I was too forthright.

Hey, sorry I haven't check my Shelfari page in a while and I just saw your note. So, seeing that you seem to be a saint, the LDS doctrine teaches that you would go to the Terrestrial, or the 2nd degree of glory. We don't believe in a hell except for really, really, really, really vile people. We don't even believe that a murder will go to hell hell, meaning outer darkness. To us, God is very merciful and loving. He doesn't want to send anyone to hell and will not unless, like I said, that person is pretty much a spawn of Satan. The main thing to remember (from our perspective) is that God is a God of order and so he has predetermined a method to get into the Top Degree, or the Celestial Kingdom. It not only entails being very good, which it seems that you really are, but also being willing to submit to His will by making special covenants with Him, in which you promise to do X and He promises to do Y. These promises are absolutely essential to living in God's kingdom. So, we make these promises at Baptism, getting the Holy Ghost, going to the Temple, getting Married in the Temple. However, these promises are no good unless you keep them. So, making any one or all of them is pointless unless you live them. In fact it is better to not make them than break them, seeing that it is a promise to God. This is why we believe that so many great and good people will be in the Terrestrial Kingdom- because they didn't want to make those covenants and perform those ordinances. To those who never knew about the Church of Jesus Christ or never had a real, unbiased, fair chance to know it is true (meaning that we don't believe at all that turning away missionaries upon seeing them is an actual fair chance - bias and prejudice played into it), a chance will be given to receive these ordinances, making God a perfectly just God. Sorry for the long answer, but I though I would try to be complete. Again, the main point is that God is a God of Order, and so laws govern who gets in and who doesn't. Everyone will have a fair chance to choose to believe in Jesus Christ or not, to go to the Celestial Kingdom or not. YOu can also think of it like this: what do you want to do and where do you want to go? In life, some people are happy with second place- with doing well, but not their best. That may be the case for all of us. When we are there, we may realize that really don't want to be the best and go to the Celestial Kingdom, for we are content with the Terrestrial or Telestial, which are still degrees of Glory. Joseph Smith taught that should a man catch a glimpse of the Telestial GLory, the lowest, he would wish to die and go there this instant. I don't suggest wanting to go to anything less than the Celestial, because I believe it is worth it. But, if you believe that Islam is the right religion for you, then live Islam the best that you can. God loves you, thinks that you are beautiful inside and out, wants you to be happy, never judges you, always thinks of you, wishes to bless you, and hopes that you will speak to Him to get an answer from Him concerning which path is right. It is my deepest conviction and testimony that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the only true and living Church of the only true and living God. I prayed about it, received an answer from the HOly Ghost that it is true, and never looked back. That is my conviction, and I am certain that you can receive an answer from God for yourself too. Hopefull that answers your question. I am sure you are not, not, not, not going to Hell! Bye

Thank-you for the note sister. I think that a woman in a sexy abaya who is flirting is more sexual than a person in normal western dress wearing a simply shirt and jeans and is not flirting or trying to show off her "assets". And yes - Allah will know one's intentions. That is what is most important. Inshallah.
