I give a lot of them away - and use the library a LOT :) I REALLY enjoyed Woman in White, it went from a bit slow at first to pretty exciting in the end. Woman in White was a serial, you're right, and you can tell - the chapter endings are seriously cliff-hangers! Good luck, let me know if you like it!

The Alchemist is a mystey of a different type. It is an intriguing book......includes the mysteries of the soul and the universe. Worth investing time and reading this book.

I've actually only recently started reading mysteries. I've been reading nothing but horror novels since I was in middle school. I'd only spend my money on horror since i knew I'd like it. Since I've started checking out from the library more often than buying, I'm trying to stretch my interests a little.

Hey Robert! No, I never read any Jeffrey Deaver. I am not really a mystery chick. Every now and again I will read a mystery for a change. What's good by you?

Hi Robert; I am retired and have very little else to do, other than routing yard work. For many years I wrote a book column (as a hobby) for the Batnn Rouge Advocate and the Fort Worth Star Telegram. Many of my older books come from those days. (60s, 70s). I retired from the USAF (pilot/intel) in 1974 and from international business (French company) in 1996. Born and raised in Little Rock, I joined the AF in 1952 and was gone for 50 years from AR. Re your note to me: I see you were a teacher. I used to read a lot in class. LOL Storing the books, that's what a 4-bedroom house is for! I don't keep all of what I've read. A lot of those books on my shelf were books I checked out from the library when I was growing up (i.e., the White Indian series which had something like 20 books in it). My shelf doesn't even include the romance novels I read or the Danielle Steele books because I don't remember which ones I've read. Heh.

    Hi Robert
If you're puzzled by what bebop is and love Charlie Parker, you're in good shape. After all, if you were puzzled by Charlie Parker but loved bebop, you'd be in serious trouble. Glad to have you as a friend.

Hi Mr. Parks!!!!! I just requested friendship and messaged a Robert P poser. Haha just kidding. I searched your name and then just clicked the first Robert P on the list of results and then got a little confused when I looked and his book shelf and did not find the books you suggested. =] Can't wait for the next part of your biography!!!(no pressure) =]
