So how's everything going? i see you also have read the Twilight books. What do you think of them? I was absolutely enchanted by the series and i'm actually in the middle of reading them all over again. I just LOVED them! Edward and Bella are the perfect couple. Drop me a line sometime and let me know how things are going with you.
I just thought i'd drop by and say hi. So how's your writing going? Mine actually came to a halt for a litte while, work got in the way. lol. But i'm eager to get started again. Right now i'm reading Stephen King's 'Lisey's Story' and i just bought his new book of stories, 'Just After Sunset' yesterday and plan to read it next. Well take care and i hope your doing well with your writing.
Thanks for your flattering comment. I’m a high school English teacher. I tend to read less through the year because I’m usually busy rereading books for my classes, or reading badly written—but improving—essays. I also really enjoy political books; you can browse some in my shelf.
Hi Nancy! It's really nice to meet you, and you're very welcome. I live in Ohio, close to St. Clairsville. And as for my education, i have some college experience; however, it wasn't in english, as you would probably expect - it was actually in criminal justice. When i started college, i originally wanted to be a criminal profiler for the FBI, but schools being as expensive as they are, i was forced to quit so i could work to pay my bills. So now i work and write in my spare time. Who knows, maybe i'll write a crime drama one day! I think the main reason that i started writing short stories is because those are the only ones i could find contest to enter. Also, my biggest problem now is actually finishing a story that i start. I was working on 2 stories, which is a bad idea, and realised 3 months in that they were actually parts of the same story. One story is about a ghost girl, and the other was about a little girl who lost her sister and is having nightmares about a scarey, mysterious, man who wants to end the world. I have also started a story about a female murder investigator as well as one about a secret order that protects the earth from dark beings.
So now tell me something about yourself. Where are you from and what's in your arsenal of ideas that you're working on? What kinds of books do you like to read? Stephen King isn't everyone's cup of tea, but i love him; however, i respect individual's rights to like who they want. All i ask is that i be judged the same. You'd be surprised at how many wierd looks i get from people because i read King or other such authors and choose to write about dark subjects.
I'm glad that i've found someone to talk to as well. Message me anytime!!! And i really mean that.
Ohh..yea, it makes much more sense now. Yeah, I know. And even though I'm only 15 and my childhood isn't that far behind me...I still enjoy Disney movies as well (I think everyone does)...and not just the new ones either...all the old ones from Little Mermaid to Cinderella. They're all amazing.
