How is the "Dance w/Dragons" going? I am about 50% through it.

What a treat you are in for if you love this first book by George Martin. They only get better. The web that he casts is amazing. Ms. Turner will be so proud.

My sister found another piece to the Vonnegut mystery. He died due to injuries sustained from falling down the stairs. In Timequake he noted that his sister found it hillarious when people fell down the stairs and he laughed a couple times at people falling, too. Interesting...

After a little research I found that he tried to kill himself in 1984. I am still convinced that there is something fishy around that number and if not, I am sure that he Vonnegut would have some awesome pithy comment to make.

Check it out: Kilgore Trout died, according to "Timequake" when he was 84. Kurt Vonnegut Jr. died when he had reached the ripe old age of..... 84. Earlier on in his life, in the 1980's or something, he had apparently tried to take his own life. Death at the same age of his alter-ego a coincidence or Vonnegut-esque suicide?

Excellent review! I am not opposed to being sad throughout a read. And I completely agree that "skipping" is a totally acceptable form of speed reading. That being said, the book has now been moved to the "I will read it soon" column and I am pretty excited about getting to it. Thanks!

How was the Faded Sun Trilogy? Is it worth the read? A lot is hinging on your response.
