I'm a stay at home mother of 5 lovely children. I absolutely love to read. I've learned to expand my choice of books through a book club. I've learned to enjoy many different genre's of books. The only down fall to my love of reading is that it often interrupts my sleep. Either I stay up too late unable to put a book down, or I can't sleep... more »

    The Ancient One says

    Learn to love

Learn to love the challenges, and you will grow stronger. Learn to love putting forth effort, and you'll find yourself becoming more capable and effective.
Learn to love making a positive contribution, and your life will grow richer. Learn to love being around people who are different than you, and you'll gain many valuable new perspectives.

Learn to love discovering what you do not know, and your knowledge will greatly expand. Learn to love truly listening, and your wisdom will increase.

Learn to love giving, and your life will be blessed. Learn to love being thankful, and you'll know real abundance.

Learn to love the ordinary moments, and you'll find each day filled with warm golden treasures. Learn to love simply being, and you'll rise to a whole new level of awareness.

Learn to love something about each day, and your days will bring rich fulfillment. Learn to love, and you'll know how to live.

NICE shelf! Lots of books. I recently finished The 13th Reality and loved it (James Dashner actually wrote a good review for a book of mine called Billy: Messenger of Powers, so I thought I should look at his stuff...lucky for me!). You should definitely check out Fablehaven, too. Not only is it fun, but Brandon Mull is one of the nicest guys ever (I'm guessing you're LDS...me, too...Brandon and I grew up in the same ward together and we keep in touch regularly).

Okay, I'm blabbing. Thanks for letting me nose around!

I do and you can :) The books are much cleaner than the tv show. I watched the first one and was slightly outraged by how much they changed it and didn't watch any more. I really enjoyed the books.

Cameron didn't say anything about it. I will ask him.....see what he says. I have to return it today. I have 10 overdue books and that is too many that are overdue.....it won't let me renew them. Bummer.

Oh good. I am glad you liked it. It still sits on my nightstand. I just am overwhelmed with some other reads right now. My sisters loved it though. They have read the second book also. They said the second was good. It is just now starting to get popular in my neighborhood. I just finished The Glass Castle by Jeanette Walls. I could not put it down. Makes me feel glad about the parents and family I was given. Her stories of her life are mesmerizing and unbelievable. Story after story is just crazy. Have you heard about it? I am now reading One Second After. It is more disturbing. It is about a EMP attack on America. It is a real possibility.

Not at all. Sanditon is the name of a seaside town where the novel takes place. It's all Jane Austen. Manners, misunderstandings, love and marriage. She didn't finish it but the edition I have is wonderful. Sometimes these things can be chancey but I honestly couldn't tell where Austen ended and the other lady began. I highly recommend it.

I returned it to the library before reading it. I had it for a couple of weeks and picked it up before leaving on my trip. I happened to turn to one of the graphic parts because I thought it looked like a little more than I liked to read. That was all I needed. Glad we agree on that one.

The book I am doing is "Howl's Moving Castle." I dont' have the author as I write this but it is on my shelf under books I have read. A really fun book and different than the ones we have been reading lately.

Yeah, I read it to the kids and they loved it...I need to get the next one. The author came to one of my kids' schools last year. Life's good here too. We are freezing too but not to the degree you are! Yikes -25! That's brutal. Iceburg isn't even that cold this year. Adam was asking me yesterday if he can go to Ohio this summer...we meant to try to get him there last year, but things got busy, as always, and we didn't make it happen. He'd really love to come spend a week with Tyler if you are up for it. Let me know. Oh...I didn't look on your shelf to see if you have read The Hunger Games...if not you must!!

Everybody keeps telling me to read Goose Girl, so I better read it. Thanks. Also, everyone says that they love her other book Princess Academy. I just found out that my sister Roberta knows her and that she lives right by Roberta!

I think it was the best book he has written. Of course at his book signing he said the same thing so maybe I am just feeding off of him. But I really do think it was the best of his books.

    Hey Mama,
Yes. we are in Texas. We bought our first home just because the price was lower than renting every month. I love the house but not the yard, there is hardly any to consider a yard. what to know something funny? The previous owners 2 families back were named the Lutz. Sarah Lutz, not sure what the husband name was but they had kids.

My heart broke when I couldn't find a way to stop in Ohio. I really wanted to see you on my way to Texas. Opps, I guess I should go to regular e-mail. Sorry!!
