I am the mother of two grown children, who I think are the best in the world. And I love my dog!! I love to read and have since I was a child. I also love playing tennis and being outside when the weather is nice. The best day for me would be being on a beach with a great book and a nice glass of wine.

    I loved Prayers! It was such a sweet story and I loved all the characters. I have never read any of her books but I will check and see if the library has any others.

    Hi Susan,
    Received a call from the library yesterday. Prayers for Sale was waiting for me! Last night I put my other novel aside and started reading Prayers. I am already engrossed in the book. And thank you for letting me know your opinion.

    I just finished South of Broad by Pat Conroy. (my favorite author) I love his writing.
    You might want to check it out. I loved it.

    Noticed your reading Prayers for Sale. Love to hear your review on this book. Saw it at the bookstore and put it on my list for the library.

    So Susan, have you had any days on the beach with a glass of wine? I hope so.
    While in Vegas a few weeks ago, I had at Emeril's restaurant a glass of a
    Chilean Merlot wine that was so good, I wanted to take an extra bottle to our room.... Vacation with my best friend was fabulous.

    Hope your summer has been wonderful.

    Thanks for the friendship Susan! I really love the East Coast of Florida. We vacationed with the family at New Smyrna Beach last summer and they loved it too. This summer one of my sons went to the gulf coast. We spent the day with him and his friends but I prefer the surf in the east. Nice sunset thought.

    Hey Susan P, I'm not sure how we became Shelfari friends but I just had a fun time going through your shelf. I will be recommending books to my bookclub in a week and I have been searching for some good reads. I looked through your shelf, found that we rate books similarly, and discovered a wide variety of 5-starred books that sound interesting. So many books, so little time.
