Dave, let's read Lush Life. It sounds really good.
brodude, I kind of liked the book... but if you were annoyed by the beginning you would probably be annoyed by the whole thing. I'm ok with the tone the only thing that is really bothering me is he consistently uses references to lord of the rings in metaphors... kind of annoying... I'm learning about the Dominican Rebublic though... at least on the fiction level.
