Hey mom! Have you been on here lately? i havent but I plan to more offen. This website is really fun and Im going to try to update my books. I told my friend Anna about this place and she might try to go on. Youve read a whole library full of books! maybe Ill catch up with you someday!
P.S. cheak my wish list books! Hint! Hint!
I just noticed your note you wrote about Night for a book club read. I don't know if I ever responded to that. I'm pretty much game for anything; however, I know there are some things that some of the others find disturbing or too depressing or whatever. It IS very deep and I think some people can't wrap their brain around it. I gave it to my mom to read and she read almost all of it and then didn't finish it. I'm like, "You gotta finish it." Apparently, she does that with more books. What a trip! Have a good one. Valerie
Sorry Kristi. I just noticed this now about the book "Night." Yeah, I think we can definitely bring it up for book club. I mean, there are some HUGE discussion we could have over that. I also think that there could be tremendous discussion over our current read, "Same Kind of Different As Me"
I have not.....Unfortunately, I've been battling 2 ear infections of late, so my reading choices have just been what I have had on hand. I have not made a trip to the library for anything different, but I hope to do so soon in order to get involved in a legal thriller.
Great! Let me know if you like him. Personally I prefer the library as a source for books. Bookstores are fun, but never as comprehensive, nor as inexpensive. And if you don't happen to like one, you can return it easily. They also store the books for me so that I don't have to stumble over, or heaven forbid, dust them. Still, it's very hard to beat bookstore coffee ;-)
Glad you enjoyed Scott Turow's, Presumed Innocent. I really like authors who pay such close attention to the subtlety of their characters' motivations. I enjoy legal thrillers, and Richard North Patterson (Dark Lady, Silent Witness, Eyes of a Child, etc..) is an author whom I would recommend to you.
