You do know that the CDC now has an official posting in the case of a zombie outbreak, didn't you? My brother e-mailed it to us. Lawson's main criticism is there was no mention of stockpiling ammunition. Otherwise he was quick to point we has hit all of the CDC's recommendations all on our own.
I see you are reading Pride and Prejudice and Zombies—a personal favorite of mine. The whole family seems to have a thing for zombies. Referencing "when the zombies come," has become a family short-hand for being prepared.
Haven't read it yet, but it looks good. Completely different than Sparrow. It's on my "To Read" list, but that's so ridiculously long, who knows when I'll get to it.
I see you read The Sparrow. I read it when it first came out--what a wonderful book. Obvioulsy I was more impressed than you were, but then I was raised Catholic.
I just finished Counterknowledge, which I think you would really enjoy. The subtitle is "How we surrendered to conspiracy theories, quack medicine, bogus science, and fake history." It's a short, easy read that puts into rather succinct words the media idiocy that has been rampant in recent years.
I am sittiing here watching a BAD sci-fi movie (Dragon Wars), checking my e-mail and avoiding real work (a deadline got extended again and a client is not answering my calls). I suppose I could just read, but then I would feel really guilty. Oh, the joys of self-employment.
Okay, Guy is looking a LITTLE better than he looked in his last picture, but he still doesn't quite look like himself.
Wow, Deanne! Guy is looking a little rough around the edges since I last saw him. ;-)
Hi DeAnne,How's that Terry Pratchett book? I've got EP&L in my pile of Christmas books that I can't get around to reading yet--it's the present I gave myself, but no matter--J.
