Feel free to add books to the group shelf, or to contribute to the discussions, or to start a new topic. Share your thoughts, feelings, or experiences on this fascinating period of world history.

You HAVE to put "Beach Music" by Pat Conroy on your list if you have not already read it. It brings together your (& my) favorites...the South (specifically Charleston/SC), WWII and Italy. It is the perfect summer read and one of my favorites of all-times.

Greetings! Glad to have you as a friend. Who's the picture of? It's darling! Loved The Book Thief and Suite Francaise. Have read so much on the Holocaust because it is my passion and I taught many classes on it while a school librarian. Also an Army Brat so that explains all of the WWII books.

Thanks for the tip on Mary's World. I love Charleston too as my oldest graduated from The Citadel.

Hi, Caroline. I am certainly enjoy Those Who Save Us so far. We will be discussing it at one of my book clubs in a couple of weeks.

I have heard great things about The Book Thief. I cannot imagine having Death as the narrator. Cannot wait to read it!

I enjoy looking at other people's shelves as well and my tbr shelf/wish list is pretty long because of it. I've seen you have quite a few gardening books. Are you starting to plan your landscaping for your yard? My yard is blank slate so I've got a lot of work ahead of me.

    Hi Caroline,

How did you like Lovely Bones? I have a long to be read list, but I've heard good things about LB and was curious what you thought.
