I know what you mean about Picoult ;) What I have in mind is '19 Minutes' and how she forces you to see the world from the other side. I love/hate that about it. But yeah, she definitely keeps you hooked till the last page. I have a book of hers on my TBR that I might pick up soon. Can't remember tht title..but it's about a girl who was shunned by her Amish community.

Ive just picked up a book "In Cold Blood" by Truman Capote. I'm reading it for the Play Book Tag group here on Shelfari. Have you looked into this group? It's pretty interesting and you might like it. It has made me more obsessed about shelfari, and I didnt think that was possible. lol.

Yes! I just finished it last night..I loved it. It's so emotional. Makes you want to know more about what happened. It's very different than Purple Hibiscus tho.

You know, I had read an excerpt from the book a coupla years ago but didn't know! When I started it I felt like..deja vu, and now I know why. I was tidying up the Granta magazines we have at home and was looking through them as I did, and found that the beginning of Half of a Yellow Sun was in one of the issues. I guess I had read it and thats why I felt all deja vu like.

So, what have you been reading?

    Aw, good luck with uni!

Ahh..I guess some books are like that. Depends on why you're reading it! Reading for class can be such a drag sometimes.

I'm reading "Half of a Yellow Sun" right now. Really enjoying it, but I can tell it's not going to end on a happy note :(

    Hey Reem,
Hm..I'm not sure about all his books, but the ones I've read so far are comic. Humorous and light, and even tho the slang is a bit outdated, it adds that oomph to the humor and plot.

The books I read are from his Jeeves and Wooster series. Basically several books about a rich british young man, Bertie Wooster, and his incredibly intelligent butler, Jeeves. I still don't know what the 'right' chronological order of the series is (sometimes I think it doesn't matter much since each book is almost a standalone, but they do reference past events in other books). The first one I read's called 'The inimitable Jeeves'. Would def recommend this :)

Yeah, his humor and prose were really enjoyable to read.

I'm reading P.G Wodehouse's Jeeves in the Offing, read anything of his? I've read 2 other jeeves and wooster books, and theyre entertaining and funny.

Ahh, Freud. I read a couple of articles of his before. Hope you enjoy the book. Both books ;)

Ohh, I got "The Book Thief" summer before last, and sadly it's still in my ever reproducing to-read pile ].[ I see that you loved it :)

Angela's Ashes..I don't know what to say Reem. I mean, I thoroughly enjoyed his style, but felt so bad at the same time for what they were going through. I've read a lot of memoirs, some heartbreaking, like his, but its been so long since I've read prose such as his. I was at kino today and got the second part 'Tis. I used to have it, but I guess one my parents musta lent it to a friend or something, hehe.

So what are you reading now?
