Nah. I'm only reading two books at the moment. The Great Political Theories is heavy, so I have a book of essays by Gladwell too. I like nonfiction.

ABA. Filipino ang binabasa ah. Itigil mo yan!!!

Btw. Thanks for letting me borrow Good Omens! I can't get myself to finish it, though, for some reason. I don't think I can get beyond a hundred pages of it. :( Maybe the British humor escapes me. Maybe I'm not up to par. Or maybe it just isn't my cup of tea? Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett are probably awesome and I'm just not getting it. I'll probably pick it up again at some moment in the future when I'm better suited to appreciate it, but now I think I ought to give your book back. And buy my own copy sometime!

    Sorry. And thanks!

I've got summer break, but I've also got extreme laziness! D:

We're seriously the only section that hasn't done anything, right right? At this rate, I even wonder if we're going to continue! But I can't get my hopes up. I don't even have my IP manual. Crap.

    P.S. Don't you just love Kabanata 37?

    P.P.S. Happy New Year's Eve!

I got sick, unfortunately, so I've been in a reading slump. I finished just one too (and I have only read three MIM chapters)! The Metamorphosis is a darn good piece of harrowing existential literature. How'd you find The Perks of Being a Wallflower?

I think I will try having a reading goal next year! Can't do fifty, as I've known. Maybe forty in fifty two weeks would suffice?

Yeah, it ends in seven days and I've barely done anything to ready myself. ohshit

They all are. I guess she just didn't know which book came first.

Revolver was something I loved the first time I listened to it; the White Album was something that grew on me over time. I really like it when that happens, so it's probably my fave. :) And it's really diverse! Some songs are rocking (I think Helter Skelter is the first heavy metal song), some are sillly (Ob-La Di Ob-La-Da, The Continuing Story of Bungalow Bill), some are music hall-inspired (Martha My Dear, Honey Pie), some are political (Piggies, Revolution 1), some are very personal (Julia, a song about John Lennon's mother), and some are just plain drugged out psychedelia (Revolution 9). Yes, more albums are always good. xD

Do you have any Arctic Monkeys CDs? Out of curiosity.

It is possible that I'm just being too hard on him because I'm elitist, yes. Okay. Maybe he can sing.

Yes--especially when you're the drummer of the Beatles.

P.S. I don't see why I would mind! I wish I'd find the guts to really ~befriend people at school.
P.P.S. I'm not at all! I really am jealous of a lot of students, really. xD

Yaaay, back to normal! 8) I still have to get my hands on the books.

Haven't watched any of it either. My mom bought my sister the New Moon book though, because the BESTSELER signs deceived her. Maybe I'll look at it for fun. XD

That's still quite a feat, all things considered! Good for 'em. I haven't been able to listen to the two McFly albums in its entirety, though I must say they're very upbeat. Even the sad songs I've heard, actually. Hee hee.

I can't make any judgments regarding Alex Turner 'cause I haven't exactly listened to their music...but yes, Alex Turner sounds like Alex Turner. John Lennon sounds like John Lennon. George Harrison sounds like George Harrison. Justin Bieber sounds like trash. XDD

Eh, well, you can't please everybody can ya? There will always be people who don't like the Arctic Monkeys--or even the Beatles for that matter. There are those who won't listen to anything else but old (timeless?) music, those who won't listen to anything else but new, those who love to listen to rap and hip hop (count me out), those who love to listen to country, etc etc. It's part of the beauty of music, I guess. Actually I'm being very hypocritical and I don't know what the hell I'm saying XDD When people don't like what I listen to (and are very very annoying about it) deep inside I'm like SHUT UP YOUR TASTE SUCKS LFJSDLFHSL. :)) But yeah, can't please everybody.

Yes, he is definitely living THE life. (Hello, one of the richest people in Britain? Blimey!) It's just that his songs are labeled as silly and shallow when placed side-by-side with John's acerbic political statements. To them, John has "Imagine" and Paul has "Band on the Run." Quite different, eh? I think John's quote-unquote martyrdom also deified him, somewhat. Then again, what do I know? I love them best when they're together.

As for Ringo, he really is the least appreciated.

    P.S. Your friends seem awesome-sauce.

Oh no, their canon is available, like, everywhere. (Dysfluency!) It's just the extras that aren't...you know, the Anthology discs and stuff. Which is understandable, really, considering it was released in 1995 and it isn't exactly a must-have (except if you're a Beatles fan).[br/][br/]I will get to reading Harry Potter soon; you just wait! :P Are you going to watch the Eclipse movie?[br/][br/]I don't blame you for reading it that way, haha. What I meant was that they looked like two lone Beatles--hence Twotles. [br/][br/]Tell me more about that Guiness World Record. I'm not exactly knowledgeable in that field, heh. Most number 1 singles? How many? And about the Arctic Monkeys, well, I'm doubtful. I think Alex Turner sounds like Alex Turner. :) Then again, maybe it's just too difficult to compare since they belong to different generations. I'm saddened that Paul McCartney seems to be placed out of the equation all too often; many people forget that it's "Lennon/McCartney" and not just "Lennon." (I guess I'm really just a biased Paul fan.)

I have most of it. Not all though, since I still have five more Beatles albums to go. (FIVE. FIVE? FOURTEEN IN A SPAN OF SEVEN YEARS. SEVEN YEARS OF AMAZINGNESS AND TURBULENCE.) Some of the hard-to-get tracks of artists I just download for free. Not everything is readily available in this country.[br/][br/]I haven't actually read Harry Potter. :( Does that make me a loser? lol I haven't read the Twilight series either, and I really don't plan to. I have respect for JK Rowling but not Stephenie Meyer. [br/][br/]P.S. They look like the Twotles or something. :))

Grrr. The last comment = formatting fail.[br/][br/]When we're late to Mass and have to stand up at the back of the Chuch--which is pretty much all the time--I like to go somewhere where my family members (except my sister, who shares my beliefs) won't really look at me. And then I dream about music or I rant and in one occasion I even had the audacity to read that book. lol Sometimes I listen to the homily just to argue with it. I also read the newsletter to see how ridiculous it can get--and it always is.[br/][br/]Yay defiance!

I would really be devastated if I lost my entire CD collection... :( I already lost a deluxe edition of Michael Jackson's Thriller 25. Eh. I think our driver took it and never had the chance to return it 'cause he got fired.[br/][br/]Ah, I don't have Love. :P I don't think I'm ~hardcore~ like that (and really, I only got my first album last March!). It's just that I like buying records and I'm a completist. When there's an artist I like (maybe an author), I really want to get my hands on everything in that artist's discography. And I seldom use torrents. Yeah, I know, it's an expensive vice but I can't help it. And I'm helping the music industry! XD[br/][br/]I wouldn't mind sharing my albums with you. :D Eight of them are the 2009 remastered ones, so the sound quality is pretty great. I love Revolver, The White Album, Abbey Road, and maybe Magical Mystery Tour. But they're all amazing, really. Tell me if you're interested~ And then maybe I'll try listening to McFly.

Oh waaait, apparently you do listen to them. Or so your Facebook says. My bad. To be honest, I haven't been a fan for very long, to be honest (just this year--but I already have nine physical Beatles albums and two post-Beatles ones by Paul...geez, all my money went THERE?). I really do talk too much when it's online.

Hindi ah. Not really. It's readable. Tinatamad lang talaga ako kaya I stopped after reading the first few pages. :)) I was even reading it in Church during the Mass (don't tell! lol), and then a random woman asked me what I was reading. Oops. Baka nakita pa niya ang title!
