Well I finished the book "The Last Street Novel" and it ended much better than it started.

Thanks for the note and for adding "spirit led conscience guided. You are aware that I am the author? My book begins in a child's voice and progresses into a teen's and from there into a woman's voice. It has a lot of issues in it that I face as a child, teen, and as a woman that other females has faced in their lives also but the uniqueness of my story is, I've experienced something that no one else has, and I want to share my experience with the world, so the world will know how real God is and that God has a voice. It's a very good story, and I do hope you will read it.

There's only five books on the group shelf that I have read, mine included. Out of the five, I have chosen, "I Do" and have written my review on it. Of course, I would love for mine to be the group read at woman speak.

I thought "a day late and a dollar short" is a good read. Although it's fiction, it read as though it was non-fiction. McMillan is very gifted.

I am reading The Last Street Novel by Omar Tyree. It is very egotistical
but over all it is ok. But easy to put down.

I've already read the Gospel of Mary Magdelene and I liked it and wouldn't mind re-reading it. Yes, I am going to be reviewing books on Woman Speak. Hopefully soon. I've asked the women to add books they have read to the groups, I've Read shelf and then I will ask for reviews of those books and then we will select from them to choose a book for a group read and discussion. I was waiting until the sign on process seemed to die down a bit. We've been adding nearly 100 new members per day.

I have actually never read Zane, everyone has recommended it. I will read her one day. I am still going down the mystery list. Love Valerie Wilson Wesley, also think about reading Barbara Neely, and Chassie West (a fellow shelfari friend recommended them. Check out Barbara Hambly, her series follows Benjamin January a slave solving mysteries during a time just prior to slavery.

Imogene, remember me the one seeking advice on returning to school. I absolutely love it. Received my first grade and of course the baby boomer ace it. Thanks again for very poignant and simple advice. Karen

Is that a Jacob Lawrence painting in your new avatar? Or it may also be Romare Bearden? Whichever (or neither) it is lovely!

    Hi Imogene,

Thanks for the link for the study guide for Sula our group read. I am going to answer the questions to the study guide after I finish reading the book. I think that we should use some of the questions for our discussion on BWFT!

    Bless
