Hi! I am Doris, a retired engineer and teacher, presently co-pastor of Deeper Life Ministries located at 2522 Capital Cir, N.E., in Tallahassee, Florida, (services on Sunday at 11am and Bible Study on Tuesdays at 7pm) and now author. My first book entitled, "I Do" has just been published. This book is an autobiographical sketch told primarily through short stories and poetry. It deals with adult content, spiritual matters and yes, it is a love story. Its 227 pages tell of my journey through difficulties of life, including but not limited to abandonment, domestic violence, rejection, rape, alcoholism and broken relationships and of how through faith in God I became more than an overcomer. It is a celebration of deliverance and a preparation for promise. I enjoy reciting my poetry before groups and am heard at local open mic sessions. I am available for group readings, signings and speaking engagements, so call on me.
