I read about everything I possibly can. In stores I'll walk around reading the backs of packages, and even the pharmacy pamphlets that no one ever reads. The most important asset in my life is knowledge, and I will do anything to keep and gain more knowledge, especially about my subjects of interest.
Through my shelf you can form a judgment of my personality. My shelf relfects my political views almost perfectly, and highlights many of the subjects (in my fiction reading) that I enjoy as hobbies in my non-reading world.
I stick to mainly non-fiction. I enjoy books about political science, pre and post American history, humor and selective journalism. My ficiton reading is mainly of the crime genre with the usual classics thrown in. My favorite type of poetry is from the transcendentalist era, otherwise, I'm not too big a fan of poetry. I'll give anything a chance though, it just has to strike the right chord.
My hobbies beside reading include musical performance (on stand up bass), fine dining, political activism, and spending time wandering the town aimlessly.
