I'm relieved on your behalf that your car didn't go for the swim. I do love your nickname/photo combo. It makes me smile every time I see it.

I see you're also a Susan Wiggs fan. She's also one of my favorites. Have you read any of Luanne Rice's books? She's good, too. Her style kinda reminds me of Susan Wiggs, for some reason...her characters are so real, you feel like you actually know them.

I read Diana Gabaldon's "Outlander" a few years ago. She's amazing...you really feel you're "there." But some of the scenes were very disturbing...still make me wince to this day. I've shied away from her books since then because of some scenes being a wee bit too graphic for me. I'm just a big wimp, I guess!

I figured out how to change a book for the groups. It was a definite DUH moment! I am off to start reading Secrets by Jude Deveraux now. Talk to you later!

You probably thought I dropped off the face of the planet! Sorry it took me so long to respond. Once again it's that bad habit I have again-working. I really wish that I could break the habit!
Did you find Love Bites yet? What about Ebay? I got all of my Argeneau books on there for about $30 with shipping. You just have to be persistent about checking until you win them.
I have fallen massively behind on my challenges :-( but am hoping to catch up to complete them within the deadline. My problem (what a problem) there is a new book coming out almost every week this summer by my favorite authors but they don't fit the challenge.
Sherrilyn Kenyon is great! I finished the first book Fantasy Lover and one of the short stories that came between it and the second book. I have the second book on order from the library and it looks like I am the next in line to get. So far there haven't been any vampires and if I didn't know any different I wouldn't know that these are part of a series. I guess the series really kicks in with the second book. I think you would like them-not graphic, sex parts aren't too graphic, and funny. I also want to try Laurell K Hamilton. She has a vampire series that comes highly recommended by two of my friends.

Obviously I haven't been on here for awhile-do you know what is going on with where you can change a book from "I'm reading" to "I've read"? I am able to change it for my shelf but not for my groups. I used to be able to change it by clicking on the picture of the book, it brought up my groups and I changed the status. There probably was a whole explanation on the site that I missed...

BTW what is your blog address? I would like to check it out. I wish I had time to do one. That can be a New Year's resolution for me "to set up my own blog".

(I'm going to try to get back on here more often. It's my goal for the rest of the summer.)

    Have a great day!

Hi! Yes, I've been a big NR fan for a long time and recently joined a Nora Roberts group. Thanks for telling me about the Readers of Romance Books group. That sounds fun.

Right now, I'm reading "Rose's Daughter," Robin McKinley's (second) retelling of Beauty and the Beast. I belong to a Play Book Tag group, and their genre for July is Fairy Tales. I haven't read any fairy tales for YEARS, and am really enjoying it. Mindless, relaxing escape from the stress of my job!

Did the car in the pool actually happen to you?!

OH no I didn't know the other one was first. I grabbed it off your shelf so I will go find the California one there. Religious fiction is fine with me. I read all types of stuff and have a very open mind. They looked like good books. I will have to check them out. =)~

Let me know your thoughts on Outlander. I never read books that end sad or make me cry. That's why I haven't read Outlander. I thought it would.

My dogs don't even have a doghouse. Their house is my house. I bought this huge ottoman, Bob decided it was his, so we call it the Bob Couch. Bob is 100lbs and has 3 inch legs.

My dogs have always had people names, except for my very first dog, he was Spanky because he looked like the Little Rascals dog.

Been busy with the new pup! Geez, it's like having a toddler again, but one that pees and poops on the floor and chews my shoes! We are having a nice summer ~ it seems to be flying by. Haven't done too much of anything, but the days slip by. Recently finished Jodi Picoult's Change of Heart and can't remember the title of the book I just started. Also been reading a bunch of books with the kids. What about you?

Thank you! She is a cutie. That's my little Gracie Lou. I also have 2 basset hounds, Abby and Bob. Grace is the baby though. I never bred any of mine, because I would never be able to place them in homes, I would keep them all!!!

I would advise your Daughter to read another book rather then Dark materials series. Nothing much is going on in Votes for the world, don't know who rachel is. Went out yesterday to find a Souh American mythology book and couldn't find a single ecent time, such a waste of time.
BTW I have a long To be read pile aswell.

I am almost half way done listening to Delicious by Susan Mallery. The "love" scenes are extreemly descriptive. I just wanted to let you know. So far, I'd give the book 4 stars! Hope you had fun at camp, My oldest just got back on the 4th and was baptized!

Yeah work is a disgusting habit that I came seem to break since I need to pay bills. Sorry I dropped off the face of the earth for awhile! I finished River's End-I knew the ending long before the actual end but still thought it was good. I also read Tailspin by Catherine Coulter. I wouldn't rush out to get that one but it was ok. I would give it 3 stars.

I also finished A Quick Bite which I loved. The next book Love Bites is Etienne's story. I have it on my ROR Challenge so I'll be reading it soon. I have a feeling though that it is going to be hard not to read the others until the fall. I loved Thomas too. I loved the image I came up with of him in Spiderman pj's. I sure hope that you get to read all of them this fall or sooner!

How are your challenges going? I am hoping to catch up soon. I am back home now from housesitting and one of my jobs is pretty slow right now so that helps with the reading factor. I am going to start Fantasy Lover by Sherrilyn Kenyon now. It's another vampire book. I am hoping that it ends up being Nora Robertsish as well. I'll let you know because that is a whole other series. Talk to you later!
