Maybe I ought to try reading comic books too. For a change. Haha!Take care! Keep feeding your mind with the good stuff!
Hey! Read any good books lately? I'm out of the Agatha Christie phase but still very much in love with detective stories. I'm reading Christian novel "Piercing the Darkness" by Frank E. Peretti now. The book that came before it, "This Present Darkness," is good.
Right back at ya. Whatcha reading now? I'm reading The Box by Richard Matheson. It's a collection of short stories. The original name of the story is titled Button, Button. However they changed the name because of the upcoming movie with Cameron Diaz. I've read Button Button and it's a good short story so I don't mind re-reading it but I am looking forward to the other stories that I haven't read yet.Happy Reading.
I see that you've read some Bruce Coville :D I've read TONS of his books - they were childhood favourites. I still have all the ones I read as a child. What did you think of him?
Oops, sorry, that got posted thrice.
Yeah, it's been a while. I've been so into detective stories these past months. Been hooked to Agatha Christie's works. I've almost read all of her short stories. And you?
Not much. I'm trying to keep myself busy reading. I've been doing a better job of it as of late. I just wish I read faster so I could plow through my book stacks. Zoinks!B. :-)
You keep making faces at me. So I will return the favor: :-D
Why do you recommend "Blood Song: A Silent Ballad" by Eric Drooker? :)
Hello :)
No, I wasn't a big 60s Batman fan. I've seen many of the shows and I appreciate the campy comic fun of it, but I like my Batman dark and brooding. Although, I did like Julie Newmar as Catwoman. Man, I am a hopeless geek. I napped on my last day off and before I knew it I had slept the day away. I was so bummed. All the things I wanted to do I never got around to doing them because I kept taking cat naps.Hope you get caught up on your reading.B.
No problem, take your time. How was your 4th of July weekend? Do anything special? I pretty much worked all weekend and took some time to read. Have a great week.B. :-)
I hope you're not offended, I wasn't referring to you when I was saying that people seem to be one-upping everyone. lol. man, I have a tendency to offend people. but ya, you seem like a open-minded individual. and obviously you enjoy reading. I glad you're getting in to comics more...I tend to defend them when people start bashing...but ofcourse that's because I'm into them...although I'm not ignorant enough to discredit what a 'real' novel provides versus a graphic novel.anyways, nice talking to you.
honestly, I'm pretty much a comic book reader at the moment. I don't really read as much as I'd like to...that's mostly why I got on here...I noticed that it's a lot of swinging dicks so to speak, everyone's kind of trying to show their book reading cred. heh, that's a negative look on things I guess. But ya I'm pretty much comics, with a couple neal stephenson books a couple douglas coupland books, and a bunch of books that I would describe as industry specific (the inmates are running the asylum, the art of innovation, the design of everyday things) etc etc.I haven't read anything from those authors yet, but I'll keep them in mind.I do like some of the same genre's. But I don't really watch a lot of tv (I pretty much work 24/7). My favourite tv show that I haven't had a chance to watch the last couple months is/was supernatural, I also really enjoyed the first 2 seasons of heroes.I look forward to talking to you too.
Let me know when you finished Wicked. Would love to hear your thoughts on the book.Have a good night.B. :-)
Get me one of those too XD and make it somewhere with lovely scenery!
*Anxious, sorry XD not ancientI actually am putting a dent in my reading list, though it's a very small one *points to shelf* Have lots of time to read lately.
Haha, just one of those ancient times in life, eh?
