Paula~ There are no rules that say you HAVE to post about the books you read but you are definitely welcome to post about as many England books as you read. I would repost at least one of your England books on the October Reads thread, this is where we look to determine if you are eligible for raffles. If you read anything that is NOT tagged England, you are welcome to review it on the LIO Review thread.

Nice job on finishing 4 books! I am still struggling with my first of the month! :)

Hi Paula. I hadn't even really heard of it till a month or so ago. All of a sudden there seemed to be lots of conversations here about the books, and around the same time, one of my "real-life" friends started reading it. She absolutely LOVED it, so she recommended I read it, so I'm borrowing all four of the series from her. Maybe I'll have to look into The Host, too!

I have counted Possesion. I just forgot to post it. That book got a lot of points. Hooray.
Best sellers do not count as an award.

haha, it does look like a bathroom floor. It's actually just a random picture I took of a chess board and I thought it looked pretty good so I made my avatar. Actually I just read The Eight by Katherine Neville for LIO and so the avatar links in with the chess theme I've got going.

Odd Thomas (love that series), Twilight, 2 Mercedes Lackey books (they were okay), Envy (don't remember much about it), Killer Dreams (did NOT like), and The Odyssey.

You know how to see "books in common", right? You click on the person's shelves, look to the very bottom left, click on "books in common" (which also tells you how many), and the shelf of books in common comes up. I LOVE this Shelfari feature and bug my Friends unmericifully with it :D

    Paula~

Why don't you send me the name of the book you are talking about, the author, and the tags you want to use it for. If you can find this book on the top 200 tags pages then it should be on the synopsis page but someone else mentioned a little glitch with that. But, instead of continuing to talk in vague terms, send me some specifics and I'll have a look!

In general, have a look at Anita's response on the Official Rules page...I think it might also help to clear some things up!

For the minor awards, this is not a team tag and you can count a book as long as you can supply an official list (from a website) that has the specific book you are submitting listed.

    Paula~

    your question online was:
I also have this question as most of my books are fiction - then fiction should be able to have that label and if it is dealing with a contemp timeline and written by a woman even if the tag is not on it? For example - I plan to read a Rita Award book which is only tagged romance....it is fiction, it is contemp fiction, it is written by a woman...AND,
like Kristi, went and checked out the book I earlier asked you about, and sure enough, it pops up because the author is British but is not in the initial tag....P also, the tag 20th century - any book written from 1901-2000 should count?!?

The determination of whether or not a books can be counted for points for one of the team tags is based on whether it is labeled as such on Shelfari. It doesn't matter what page of the Shelfari tag the book is found on, as long as it is there. In fact, if you go to the individual book description page, every tag for that book is listed.

If this isn't your question, then I am confused on what you are asking...
