Read the review for Life of Pi
Dog in the Night was a wonderful book :)! I read Jamaica Kincaid (Lucy and A Small Place) and Jean Rhys (Wide Sargasso Sea) for a Caribbean Literature class in university. All were pretty good.
Hi. I went to reserve a copy of The Lace Reader from the library and they already have 105 holds and I'm 105. I see that it's a popular and wanted read...hopefully the holds will move along quickly...
I was recommended a great author: Tess Gerritsen. She has a lot of great and interesting books out. So far I've read the Bone Garden and it was a really good book split in the modern day and back in the day scenarios of how things were handled. It made me cry in the end too because almost made it.
Not getting precisely what u mean. Thanks for reading themreply

Great book Memoirs of a Geisha. The author must have loved meeting up with the real lady geisha for his book meetings and hear all of her rich and deep stories of the history of her life over breakfast while sipping on jasmin tea or something, never wanting the meeting to end as some people are just so interesting to listen to and get to know more profoundly each time with each new story of the events of their amazing life being shared to you...
December nominations are up at the Good Reads Group Site. Make sure to vote!
Godwin's books are enthralling but personally difficult: they bring back memories and invoke demons...
I remember reading Becoming Madam Mao - seems to me I read it while reading a couple of other books about the long march or whatever it was called when Mao came into power and then another book about her when she had so much power - not only the topic but I remember the writing kept me reading.
