Cred ca Gabi o sa se ia de scris. Am si un titlu ptr el! "Enigma Alexandrei".

    Hi Alexandra,
That is terrific! What books on psychology and philosophy are you now reading? I just finished Buber's "I and Thou" and thought it was great and very spiritual--though the writing is very dense and abstract, it is short in pages, but long in the amount of concentration it requires; certainly a book that I think is intended to be re-read. Another I would like to read soon (and I am embarrassed that I have not yet) is Carl Rogers' "On Becoming a Person"--he was a brilliant psychotherapist, very warm, gentle, positive therapeutic style. There is also a book I would like to get that is the dialogues between Buber and Rogers at a meeting in the 1950s. I saw the book when I was book hunting in a store on Prince Edward Island (I travelled throughout Nova Scotia this past summer), but did not get the book then.

Wow--Madrid! That is great...how is the job-hunt going? I was in Madrid about 4 years ago (and nearby Arenjuez), but sadly it wasn't too happy a trip because my parents became ill with food poisoning. Maybe one day I will go back, for a more positive trip. Ibiza sounds fabulous, please let me know how it goes there. Thank you for the Romania suggestions--I know of Constanta from my Shelfari friend Solyaris, and the beach on the Black Sea looks quite pretty there.

    Best, Joe

Buna ziwa, Alexandra B, ce mai faci? I hope that you are doing well, have thought of you. Well, I myself probably will not get to read "Twilight":), but I am glad that you enjoyed it. I am currently reading "The Tale of Kieu", this is perhaps the most renowned epic poem of Vietnam; I think you would like it very much! And soon hope to read two cultural books of interest: poems of Li Po (ancient Chinese poet) and "Facing Mount Kenya" which is a book on the Gikoyo culture of Kenya. It was written by Jomo Kenyatta, who was an anthropologist and then the first national president of Kenya.

Any exciting adventures in your future, perhaps new places to see? :) I am reading about Romania, and plan to travel there, perhaps in 2011, we will see. I would love to visit Bucharest and see Prahova Valley & Carpathian Mountains (would like to hike but also to ski there...ooh, maybe I need to make two trips!! :) ).
    Anyway, be well...

    Pe curand, Joe
