I hope you don't mind me sending you a note to introduce myself.

I used to regularly attend Quaker meetings in the UK a few years ago but stopping going for a number of reasons. I am currently re-reading 'A Light that is Shining' by Harvey Gilllman; a thoroughly good read and it is rekindling my interest in Quaker worship. I noticed you reviewed it on Shelfari which is why I decided to get in touch.

I also read your post on the 'Friendly (Quaker)' bookgroup 'The future of Quakerism' and agree with the points you have made. I intend to respond when I have more time but one of the reasons I stopped going to meeting was that I got fed up with being accosted by people who made it quite plain they had no faith in Christ or even God in any form yet called themselves Quakers and had full membership
