When I arrived here in the US., in 1988, my english vocabulary resumed in "Hi how are you, please and thank you" of course. I decided there and then to improve it by reading books in english. Thus I got a very complex and deep (even in Portuguese) Carl Jung's book. It was a very intense and slowwwwwww process. I decided to read something "lighter" after I had a self regression with Jung. Thus I switched then to "To kill a Mockingbird", and all the classics.
I did go back to Jung time and time again, but most of my readings today are fiction and mystery, I do love short stories and writings. My favorite book ever, now that I think about it, it's hard to choose. I would say that War and Peace, by Tolstoy touched me in a "quasi" perfect way, since it made me rethink about history and its consequences.
My next book? Only God knows, I tend to believe that it comes to you at the right time, at the right moment, after you gain a certain instinct about them (probably I acquired it after the incident with Jung's book).
I do like to receive friendship requests, but I won't answer if the person has only books on chemistry or how to do stuff blown in your own garage. I came across many...I AM FOR PEACE.
