I love to read and write...I am trying to finish my 1st book this year so hopefully one day my book will be plastered on here. I was told the key to being a successful writer is to get around other people who are doing what you want to do and vibe off of them...so let's see what happens.

    Dear Shida: I am an author from Massachusetts. I can truly empathize with your desire to write and get published. I can't tell you how many rejection slips I received before I got the great news last August that I was going to get published. two weeks ago I signed with a prestigious NY literary agency, so things may finally be turning my way. If you want to discuss writing or getting published, feel free to contact me. My book, by the way, is HUNTING THE KING, and this is what it's about. The story revolves around a charismatic young woman named Molly O’Dwyer. Molly was five years old when she witnessed her mother's death in a fire. She never knew her father. After her mother's death, she was raised on the campus of a Jesuit college in Boston. Now an archaeologist, she is recruited to participate on a dig in war torn Iraq. As a scientist she is compelled to know who or what is buried under the sands of ancient Babylon. As a loyal Catholic, she is scared that what she finds may have devastating consequences for her faith. There is an awesome YouTube book trailer well worth watching to give you an idea of the power of the book.
