    Charlene, I did read America's Report Card. I don't think that any public school system would consider using this book as part of its curriculum, but that it might appear in some high school libraries. I think the language and sex would be too controversial. I also wonder how much of the section of the book on how the tests are graded is true. I know the author did at one point in his life grade tests and that there are subjective parts that allow for inconsistency. I do think that "graders" may be "asked" (told?) to be consistent with former graders. If this is the case, it is WRONG. There are so many inconsistencies in all types of evaluations and their interpretations. It is complex mess.

    Charlene, I went to your blog to see if you had reviewed America's Report Card by John McNally, but I didn't feel like perusing the entire site to see if you had and I couldn't figure out a quick way to find out if you had sooo...I'm wondering if you'd tell me about it by going to my Notes on Shelfari and leaving me a note.
