“A wonderful book for about 850 pages, but one of the most disappointing endings I know to a novel; after a beautifully structured, hugely satisfying read, Lamb seems to suddenly break into a sprint to tie everything up in nice, neat, happy ending bows in about 20 pages. It's no reason not to read it because it is 99% fantastic, but be prepared for the let-down at the end...! (She's Come Undone is better, IMHO)”
