I am an avid and prolific mystery reader - my favorites are cozies and I often reread favorites and am always seeking new series - I love reading women sleuths particularly by women authors, & entertain the dream of joining their writing circle. I also enjoy children's books. I'm a preschool teacher, but have been a full-time caregiver to my parents for the last few years. My Mom has journeyed on to our heavenly homeland, and my Dad has Alzheimer's. We are Portuguese descendents of the Azores, I'm learning my ancestral language, and am intrigued with my family history and genealogical research. Besides reading and family, my interests are like my favorite sleuths - knitting, scrapbook art, spirituality, gardens, & baseball (SF Giants!). I love the beach, and so much more! I have a Live-Journal and myspace page, also, and am quite fond of computer surfing, boardgames, magnetic poetry, and puzzles. « less
