Hi, I am CJ. I am help meet to my dh B, and stay-at-home, homeschooling mom to 3 boys ages 8, 6, and 5. I live in Northern Minnesota, which I like to call the Frozen North.

I taught myself to read at nap time in Kindergarten. I was in a class with only 2 Kindergateners (myself and another girl), some 1st graders, and second graders. I would lay by the reading circle and listen and watch as the teacher taught the others to read. I was disappointed when the teacher would let the other little girl lay her blanket on the circle's side of the bookshelf.

I have since devoured many books, though my appitite is not quenched; not one single bit! I have recently taken to downloading books from my pulic library. I listen as I do chores that I dislike. It makes them go so much faster. The only problem with this is that I cannot hear my dh or children call me. :)

I heard about this site from a young lady on 7xS. I have never spoken with her myself but have read many of her posts with interest. I hope to "speak" to her one day. :) (Thank you...you know who you are.) « less
