more »I'm a Pittsburgh native, but I've lived in Florida since 1984 in an effort to be far away from my family, which has mostly worked. I LOVE to read. I mark the day I got my first library card at age 6 as one of the most important days in my life. I try to read at least 10 books a month. I love suspense/thrillers, mysteries, biographies, memoirs, general fiction, humor, history, and others. I avoid straight-out science fiction and romance, although I'm open-minded if someone I trust gives me a recommendation. I have 2 dogs, 4 cats, and a husband. Hubby and I work different shifts, so I spend my evenings alone; that's probably the main reason for the sheer volume of my reading (I read 20 books in 3/08). My husband is also a reader; in fact, I met him in a bookstore. My first husband was a non-reading boob, so I really value the fact that Lynn likes to read, although not quite as much as I. I don't understand people who don't like to read. I think they just haven't found the right books yet.
