I haven't read the new Sedaris yet, or the new Augusten Burroughs, but I plan to. I'm also planning to read Are You There Vodka, It's Me, Chelsea, just because I love the title. Of the last few books I read, I haven't been blown away by anything really, but I did like "Like Water for Elephants." And I liked the Phillip Pullman series, I just read that before watching Golden Compass. I really haven't been blown away by anything recently. But I ordered a couple of Chuck Palahnuik books from Amazon, because you, Zen and my brother rave about him. I promise if I find something great, I won't keep it a secret. Also, I read Eat, Pray, Love and...didn't love it. The first third was great, but it got slower...and slower...and slower... And the other books I've read lately are "Chemo, Craziness and Comfort," "The Child Trauma Handbook," and "Children Mourning, Mourning Children," which I seriously doubt you want to read. Let me know if you find something good! Or if something on my bookshelf piques your interest, I'll be glad to give you an honest review before you commit yourself!
