Malachy, a friend of mine has been quoting this book in our weekly Bible study. His comments definitely intrigued me and I've now picked up the book to see what is up with it. After reading, will post a review.

Fatal Revenant is like a rollercoaster. Donaldson builds your anxiety through the revealing of different pieces of lore. He brings you to dizzying heights and then plunges you deep into the plot. As the plot loops and twists, you can't help but be filled with exhilaration.

The Power of Command, the Staff of Law, Forestals, Elohim, Insequent . . . I can see why Donaldson was so intimidated in writing this. I just can't wait to see where he takes us.

The only problem - we have to wait another couple years to get past the great cliffhanger left at the end. We don't want to rush the master, but still . . . I wish we could fold time ourselves to finally find out what happens.

Tolkien is a master. I actually watched Bakshi's film before I ever read this book. It intrigued me enough to pick up the book at an early age. I was hooked.

What can I say . . . this and The Chronicles of Narnia turned me into a book lover for life. All Hail Tolkien and CS Lewis

  • The Attributes of God Vol. 1: A Journey Into the Father's Heart

As I mentioned in my previous review of Attributes of God Volume 2, Tozer is simply awesome. He takes some things that have been so cloudy in my understanding and with God's help makes it as clear as a bright shiny day. Highly recommended.

I've read several books on faith and on God, and AW Tozers works regularly come to mind. The way God uses Tozer's words are nothing short of awesome. They speak clearly to your heart and you find yourself having numerous "light bulb" moments. Highly recommended

Where was this book when I was growing up! Who cares! It's still fun now . . . I've already had fun making paper airplanes and a whole slew sp? of other things.

Highly recommended for those days when you don't know what to do. This is definitely something for someone 8 or 80.

This book can change your life . . . [br/][br/]We hear it so much that the statement becomes droll, but in this case it is definitely true. Not because anything in this book is not found in the Bible, but rather that it makes us look at the Bible as we are supposed to . . . When we look at Scripture to find God, when we spend our entire existence focused on what God wants rather than falling into the delusion of letting this world or our flesh dictate the course of our life . . . when we wait on Him and watch Him answer. That is when we truly Know Him and the power of his resurrection and are made conformable unto Him.[br/][br/][br/][br/]

"My name is Moist, don't laugh . . . are you laughing"[br/][br/]I definitely agree with several of the earlier reviews. This book is one of Pratchett's best. A criminal being hired by Vetinari to run a government institution, how the drive for profit subverts and destroys the original innovation of great companies . . . Pratchett's satire is definitely on the ball this time. I'm looking forward to Moist von Lipwig's next adventure. Definitely the best character since Vimes.
