Yes, I still use the hotmail account. I responded in kind. For some reason, your email was filtered into my junkmail folder. Caught it in time.

If you like Deaver, check out Twisted, his collection of short stories. All of them are good, and at least a third of them are great. My only problem with him as a writer is the lazy shortcut he employs too often where he describes a character as looking like a particular celebrity instead of just describing the character.

Matt- Have you read David Sedaris's book Dress Your Family In Denim & Corduroy? You'll pee your pants. I promise. And that's a good thing. Hope all is well with you.

Just finished The Thirteenth Tale. Kind of a mystery, kind of a gothic Victorian tale.

Hey Matt, if you like mysteries and thrillers you might want to check out Perfume: the story of a murderer by Patrick Suskind.
They made a pretty poor movie out of it last year. The book is great - and it reads like a stylized Decemberists song.

Thanks for turning me on to this. Looks like it might not suck. Check out "The Chicago Way" by Michael Harvey. I think you'd dig it. Hope all is well.
