The Body Artist is now officially off of my list ;) I'm not a big fan of er... literary "experiments" --- actually, I'm happy they are being done, I just don't want to have to read them ;)
Are you primarily reading for classes? Anything interesting? Any fun non- work reading?
I'm working on a series of illustrations of brides. It's the most fun I've had with a project in a long time....very stylized...Lots of dramatic profiles, long necks..lace veils, dramatic bette-davis eyelids!! If I was always working on projects like this!!
What is your writing like? short stories? editorial? do you have a specific genre you work in?
Dabbling a bit in the newspapers actually sounds like no small potatoes..What do you teach/study? I've always had Underworld on my list but I've never actually read any DeLillo. I've been told that "The Body Artist" is dull & even pretentious -- but for your sake I hope it's not true!! ANd if it is I hope it is short at least!! I'd love to hear what you think...are you teaching it or is it a class you're taking?
Living the creative dream...hmm..I guess. I'm only ok designer (better illustrator thank God) and don't much enjoy design-- but it pays for the "occasional writing" and some of the illustration ;) The goal is to drop the "designer" part of that list entirely!!! What about you...do you write? Alot of people on this site seem to. Are you reading anything interesting now?
