Reyhaneh, I had Irani friends in colleger. Those were the days of the Shah. Some were extremely loyal to him, while others disliked and feared him for being a dictator. After his fall, other Iranis I met did not like the new situation either. Now, the world is facing a new threat, of terrorism and sectarian strife. Interaction with Iranis is almost gone now.The idealism of youth has turned to cynicism on growing older. I don't know where my Irani friends are now.Times and situations change, but not quite. One seems to go 'out of the frying pan, into the fire.' You seem to be young; born after the Shah's time. Anyway, I still wish Iranis well.
I'm glad to know that. I've taken the ten-day Vipassana course in 1998. But I haven't been diligent in practice. Thank you for being a friend. Our country, the Philippines, has been a host to Iranian Bahai's decades ago. You are welcome here, too. Someday.

Howdy.I actually have a couple books I should add to the "I'm Reading" shelf, just haven't done it. I read two or three books at a time, and some of the books on that shelf have actually been temporarily set aside as I found them boring at the time. Haven't removed them as I'm not done with them and plan on going back to try at least once more. Some are also books that I continually refer to for my writing right now. They're basically reference/study books. I'm continually picking up something new and read almost any kind of book out there. You have some interesting books on your shelf. I am going to add some of them to my list of books to read. Have a good one.
