I am French, even if I enjoy reading a lot of English books.

I am an avid reader and very eclectic: classic, techno-thriller science-fiction and fantasy.

I am new to Shelfari and looking for people sharing the same interest in books as myself.

salut marc- oh i saw 'le petit dephant' that is such a nice classic 'the little prince- i loved to read this book and still it is one of my all time favorites, Did you read "across the nightingale floor" from Lian Hearn. It is a samurai saga playing in a mythical world , so it is part sci-fi part with a japanese background. This book has 3 parts, this is the first one . The trilogy has the name "Tales of the Otori".My brother was reading it and h e liked it a lot. See you later , marc.

By the way, I'm reading a French classic now, Madame Bovary. Wait, I'm not so sure if it's French. But the story is set there. =)

Hi, I agree with your wish. If only days were longer... There was one in the 50-book challenge group who's aim is to read as many as 300 books for one year and I had to wonder just how thick were those books going to be if she could read it in a day or two... Anyway, it's nice to find a friend from Nice. Was there last May. I loved Nice. Too bad I couldn't stay longer...

salut- thanks for the detailed rundown of sci-fi books, not many i know, since i started reading not long ago, only the first one i know, Asinov, since he is a classic sci-fi writer and also a jewish one. I was reading a few of his books. "I Robot" is one i think. I have a few sci-fis here i was reading when i was 15 but have to check their title.

I have read Terry Goodkind, actually, and rather agree with you about him. Interested to see what 'Confessor' will bring tomorrow. I also have books yet to add to my shelf, I've just been very, very lazy about it. Always good to find another reader of Marion Zimmer Bradley though, I don't run into too many!

hi marc, you gave me something to think about it. What kind of historical novel you have in mind? What area, time, country or century? I could recommend a few.
