I love a cup of hot tea, having something sweet and a book I can sink into that is lyrical, exotic, spiritual -- topics people are afraid of talking about.
I love childrens books too and books that make me pee in my pants from laughing too hard!
I have so many books and would love to share them if you are interested, look through my... more »

Ok I guess its not the greatest picture... but it reminds me of the summer when I took my nephew to Tahoe - good times! I am interested in the nutrition books you added - anything you loved?

Oh, yes, I agree about The Life of Pi. It's an incredible book on so many different levels!

Hey girl, well you just picked 2 of the most awesome spiritual books I've ever come across. Transform Your Life is written by my teacher... very practical and profound. Definitely pick it up. Conquest of Mind is great too.... the 1st book I picked up when I wanted to learn to meditate. And Veg. Cooking for Everyone has been a great resource- not too advanced - but everything I've made has turned out great. The author was a chef at Greens (famous veg restaurant in SF).

Aloha! I've been getting lots of good books from my friend Mary. Wally Lamb and Kate Atkinson are two authors I just discovered.
I've been into green tea and very dark chocolate lately, and have started plucking away at the guitar again. The girls have hamsters now; I am not too interested in them but Joey loves to set them free....luckily they always come back!

I love sharing favorite books, have always passed my books around to friends, and like seeing your picks. Suite Francaise by Irene Nemirovsky is one of my recommended reads. Fiction but deeply moving, stories of people fleeing Paris and trying to survive in France during WWII after the Germans invaded. More to come...

Sounds good. I'm reading Franny and Zooey by Salinger but my attention span these days is quite short. I'm hoping I'll get to do some reading done while breastfeeding. 12 days til the due date. I'm hoping I don't go over because the baby is already large. Hope you are enjoying fall in nyc. It's my favorite season.
