Dear Zoia, HAPPY NEW YEAR 2010!....I wish you would get ample time for reading in 2010.
I'm not an avid reader, but I am a teacher of junior high teenagers and every time I turned around another student was reading twilight and they kept telling me you need to read it. So I did and it hooked me Its a blend of sci-fi, mystery and romance. I enjoyed it and in some places I couldn't put it down. It takes you back to being seventeen and falling in love for the first time but with a scary twist.
I have to agree with Patty M & Stewie below. I don't highly recommend Twilight. I had a difficult time getting through the book due to lack of interest. The action didn't really even happen till the last chapter and it was thrown in there sort of like the author thought, "oh yeah, I should make something actually happen in this book". lol.
Twilight is directed to the young adult audience. If there were no vampires in "Twilight," it would be a thin-blooded teenage romance, about two good-looking kids who want each other so much because they want each other so much. Sometimes that's all it's about, isn't it?
hi, i just wanted you to know that i've already read twlight's first book about 3 mounth ago and then started new moon.well, i fell asleep during reading the book and i haven't bothered to finish it yet.
Twilight disappointed me a lot, i thought that it was going to be a wonderful book with a twist to the usually plot of doomed lovers, but it wasn't... There was more of a happy ending than i wanted and it kind of dragged on. This caused me to dislike the book. If you are into simple romance stories though (but by looking at your shelf it doesn't look like it) it won't be a horrible read.
I guess you've been wondering if you should read Twilight. If you're looking for a teen romance with a different spin, then yes. But if you're looking for something beautifully written with deeper meanings, then you might be disappointed. I don't think Twilight is the same caliber as many of the other books on your Shelfari shelf. That's my opinion, anyway.
