I love reading, altho now its seems to be a little more of a challange with the eyes getting older and weaker. I read to my daughters when they were in the womb. I can't tell you the joy you feel as a parent when your child asks you to read them a book at first and then they read it with you, and finally read it to you. My daughters can juggle a few books at a time. They have vivid imaginations and talents. They can describe how a pear taste's so that you'd think you could actually taste it and feel it's textures. Much like Pappa did in "A movable feast". Now I am not comparing them to Papa, just a little insight as to what reading can accomplish. Reading is an escape but also a comfort. Like a warm blanket on a chilly night. Always welcomed.
I encourage all parents to read to thier children and spark that journey, see where it takes them, and you. You are only limited by your own imagination ,why not "see" what's out there.... « less
